Full-year Credits: 1: 2 semesters Course: 400521 Asynchronous (weekly assignments)
This first-semester Chemistry course introduces students to
the fundamental structure and behavior of matter, chemical reactions, and the
principles that govern the molecular world. Students will develop scientific
reasoning through lab investigations and collaborative learning while engaging
in SEL practices that enhance focus, resilience, and ethical thinking. With an
emphasis on real-world applications and interpersonal skills, students will
understand chemistry not just as a science of substances, but as a way to build
connections—between atoms, ideas, and people.
